The second session as of right of the Electoral Board for the 12 October 2025 presidential election held on Wednesday 23 July at 11 a.m. in the conference room on the 5th floor of the Head Office of ELECAM in the Administrative neighbourhood.

This session, which began this morning, is devoted to scrutinising and approving nomination papers for the presidential election scheduled for 12 October 2025.

In his opening remarks, Electoral Board Chairperson ENOW ABRAM’S EGBE invited each member to exercise discernment and vigilance in order to accurately detect any irregularities or inconsistencies that could affect the validity of the candidacy files: “Furthermore, I stress the absolute necessity of maintaining confidentiality in handling all information that will come to our attention during this exercise,” he said.

     Finally, the Chairperson pointed out that this session is an essential step in the upcoming presidential election. The objective is therefore to consolidate democracy and strengthen social cohesion in our country.
