On Wednesday 1 July 2026, Dr Enow Abrams Egbe, Chairperson of the Electoral Board, opened the proceedings of the second ordinary session of the Electoral Board for the year 2026 at the headquarters of Elections Cameroon (ELECAM) in Yaounde.
During this session, Electoral Board members will examine issues related to running the electoral institution and implementing activities linked to preparing forthcoming elections. Discussions will also provide an opportunity to assess actions undertaken and to identify necessary guidelines to effectively pursue ELECAM’s missions.
The holding of this second ordinary session reflects the Board’s commitment to continue its efforts to ensure a transparent, inclusive and credible electoral process, in accordance with the legal and regulatory provisions in force.
At the opening session, the Board Chairperson emphasised the importance of commitment and diligence of all those involved in the electoral process. He called on Board Members to maintain their commitment and to work, each within their own area of responsibility, to consolidate the progress made and to strengthen stakeholders’ confidence in the electoral process.
