On 29 May 2026, the Director-General of Elections presided over the official ceremony to install Mr ABDOULLAHI BOBOE as Regional Delegate of Elections Cameroon (ELECAM) for the South-West region.
The solemn ceremony took place in the presence of members of the Electoral Board, heads of support bodies from the Directorate General of Elections, and numerous staff members who had come to show their support for the new regional head.
In his address, the Director General of Elections highlighted the central role of the Regional Delegation in implementing ELECAM’s missions and in conducting elections at the local level. He emphasised the importance of an effective, impartial electoral administration that is close to the people, before urging the new Regional Delegate to carry out his duties with professionalism, rigour, availability and a strong sense of public service.
This inauguration ceremony marks a new stage in strengthening ELECAM’s work in the South-West region, at a time when the institution continues to consolidate its operational capabilities with a view to ensuring the optimal management of the electoral process.
Through this appointment, Mr ABDOULLAHI BOBOE assumes responsibility for coordinating the activities of the South-West Regional Delegation, supervising the divisional btranches under his authority, and ensuring the proper execution of the tasks assigned to ELECAM in this important administrative constituency.
