With just a few days to the convening of the electors to the polls for the 2025 presidential election, Elections Cameroon (ELECAM) has strengthened its collaboration with the public media, CRTV. On Monday, 7 July 2025, the Deputy Director General of Elections, Mr Abdoulkarimou met with media professionals working at CRTV for an intellectual exchange.

During a question and answer session, he shared vital information on specific provisions of the electoral code relating to the said election. Mr Abdoulkarimou also touched on the various stages of the electoral process and the need to fight against fake news.

He was later granted a live interview as guest during the midday news on CRTV where he shared more light on what the law says in relation to the upcoming election. The aim of this intellectual exchange is to refresh the capacity of journalists to better communicate on the presidential elections by transmitting reliable and credible information.
